Teknopark Istanbul is preparing to host Turkey’s first Cyber Security Incubation Center. The center, which will host initiatives that operate in the field of cyber security and carry out studies on deep technology based cyber security ideas, is planned to become operational in 2021.
The center, which will host entrepreneur and entrepreneur groups that operate in the field of cyber security and develop technology, aims to support 30 internationally-thinking cyber security initiatives in 1 year period.
Entrepreneur and entrepreneur groups will be able to benefit from opportunities such as office, online / offline education, mentoring, laboratory, clean room infrastructure and technical consultancy for free or at very low costs.
Cyber security ideas will be supported
Teknopark Istanbul General Manager Bilal Topçu said:
“Cyber security is included in public policies by many states in the world. Very successful examples of the center that we will establish are seen in countries such as England, Israel, Singapore and Estonia. The amount of investment made to entrepreneurs in the field of cyber security has exceeded 7 billion as of 2019 worldwide, and the amount of investment made in this field in 2019 in our country is around 102 million dollars. In this center, we will host entrepreneurs who have ideas to implement domestic projects. We will provide our entrepreneurs with training and mentoring opportunities at zero cost, for business plan preparation, successful presentation techniques, marketing and finance. In addition, our entrepreneurs will receive free consultancy service to reach financial supports and will have information on how to grow their business by using investor meetings.”
