On the occasion of the festivities for “100 years of Boeing”, Rainer von Borstel (CEO Diehl Aerosystems) welcomed Matt Ganz (President Boeing Germany and Northern Europe) at Diehl’s exhibition stand at the ILA in Berlin. Matt Ganz was accompanied by a delegation made up of employees from the adjacent Boeing stand. In a short speech, Rainer von Borstel appreciated the good collaboration with the U.S. aircraft manufacturer, which has developed over the past 25 years.
Diehl has been supplying Boeing with lighting components in particular – initially for the 777 – already since the early 1990. More programs were added later. However, in addition to lighting solutions, Diehl also supplied systems for humidifying and drying cabin air on board of the 787. Diehl Aerosystems’ first-ever involvement in a U.S. military program – C-46 – is one of the more recent milestones in its success story.
